Team Awesome Source Logo

Team Awesome Source is a group of exceptional individuals with a passion for Computer Science that have come together with the aim of achieving excellence in the COS 301 Software Engineering Year Module presented by the Department of Computer Science at the University Of Pretoria.

Four of us have received awards for Academic Excellence from the University of Pretoria’s Department of Computer Science and all of us have shown such great aptitude that we have been employed in different capacities by the Department in roles ranging from Teaching Assistants to Management of Technical Infrastructure.

We have all worked together on medium size projects (spanning two or three months) and have also all participated under the pressures of programming contests such as the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, the Standard Bank Challenge and the Google Code Jam.

Despite also being a close-knit group of friends, we have a wide variety of interests and experience in differing fields. These interests span from areas such as networking, security and server maintenance, though computational intelligence, mobile development and algorithmic problem solving all the way through to music, investment and entrepreneurship. This makes us a formidable well-rounded team ready to tackle challenging problems.

About this Website

In today’s fast-moving digital world, it is becoming increasingly important for any organisation to have a virtual online presence both to serve as their public image and to facilitate collaboration between increasingly geographically disparate stakeholders. This website serves both to introduce Our Team and Our project. It hosts several collaborative tools such as our private Bug-Tracker and Documentation Wiki. Lastly, there is an email form on the Contact page which you can use to contact us.
